Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs
  • 4–6 slices thick bacon
  • â…“ to ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 4 slices sturdy bread or 2 rolls
  • Romaine lettuce or mixed greens
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Thin slices red onion (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165 °F, about 5–6 minutes per side.
  4. Let the chicken rest, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Optionally, toast or butter the bread lightly.
  6. Spread ranch dressing on both sides of the bread or rolls.
  7. Layer the chopped chicken, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on the bread.
  8. Close the sandwich, cut in half, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a delicious twist, consider marinating the chicken in ranch dressing before cooking. Use a variety of lettuce for added texture.
