Delicious chicken skewers grilled to perfection, marinated with a flavorful blend of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic.

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and soak the skewers in water if using wooden skewers.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with additional marinade, until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Pair with fresh salads or grilled vegetables.
