Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup rice (long-grain or jasmine)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  2. Add the steak pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sear until browned.
  3. Stir in the rice and beef broth, bringing to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and cover until the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider using different types of cheese or adding vegetables like bell peppers or peas.
