A delicious twist on the classic sloppy joe, featuring ground chicken coated in Cajun spices and served on soft burger buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic until softened (about 4-5 minutes).
  2. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart as you cook until browned.
  3. Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and stir to coat the chicken and veggies.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then spoon the mixture onto burger buns and serve.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, let the chicken mixture simmer longer. Adjust Cajun seasoning for desired spice levels.
