  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Brush the chicken breasts with avocado oil on both sides.
  5. Generously coat each chicken breast with the spice mixture.
  6. Heat your cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  7. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and sear for about 3 minutes on each side.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
