A simple yet flavorful dish combining tender chicken with a rich balsamic glaze, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried thyme in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Line a baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil. Place the marinated chicken in the dish.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Optionally, baste halfway through.
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Arrange on a platter and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve with sides like roasted vegetables or quinoa.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate chicken for at least 2 hours. Feel free to customize the marinade with additional herbs or spices.
