A comforting and flavorful dish featuring chicken breasts smothered in a creamy cheese mixture, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the chicken broth and cook for 1-2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Add the softened cream cheese to the skillet and stir until smooth. Mix in the fresh chives and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the seared chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and pour the cream cheese mixture over the top. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If you’ve added cheese, broil for the last 2-3 minutes to brown the topping.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley, serve warm, and enjoy with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For a creamy texture, ensure the cream cheese is softened. Consider adding vegetables like broccoli or spinach for added nutrition.
