A simple and delicious Baked Chicken Parmesan featuring crispy breadcrumbs, gooey mozzarella, and flavorful marinara sauce.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in olive oil, then dip into the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

Let the chicken rest after baking to retain moisture. Experiment with different breadcrumbs or add crushed red pepper flakes for a kick.
